HBO Max released a new Peacemaker trailer for James Gunn’s upcoming eight-episode series starring John Cena as the main character. The series will begin airing on HBO Max on January 13.

“Peacemaker Explores the continuing story of the character John Cena is reprising following executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film sequel The suicide squad – an irresistibly conceited man who believes in peace at all costs, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it! Beyond WWE Legend in the lead role, the Peacemaker The series will also star Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland and Freddie Stroma. Like Cena, the characters of Agee and Holland have also appeared in The suicide squad movie.
Other cast members include Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale), Chukwudi Iwuji (The Underground Railroad), Annie Chang (Shades of blue), Christoper Heyerdahl (Hell on wheels, Supernatural), Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The walking dead), Rizwan Manji (Goliath), Nhut Le (The Kroll Show) as DC hero Judomaster, Aison Araya (Arrow) like Amber, and Lenny Jacobson (Nurse Jackie) like Evan.

Based on the characters of DC, the eight-episode first season of Peacemaker is written and created by James Gunn, who has directed multiple episodes. Brad Anderson is also a director. Executive producers are Gunn, Cena, Peter Safran and Matt Miller. This is produced by Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
