Stephens-Lee Community Center announces closures and moves October 25-30

As the Stephens-Lee Community Center prepares to become the haunted castle on the hill for Fright Festivalsome classes have been canceled or moved.

Young people and teenagers APR after school will meet at the gymnasium Oct. 25-27 and travel to the Tempie Avery Montford Community Center on Oct. 28 (parents will pick up students at this site located at 34 Pearson Dr.).

Zumba Gold and West African dance Classes scheduled for October 25, will take place at the gymnasium. Please enter the center using the emergency exit door located to the left of the entrance doors.

The following activities and programs are canceled and will resume normal hours the week of October 30:

If you would like to help transform the historic building into its popular annual haunted house, volunteers are needed to help with setup, teardown, and as members of the Scare Crew who act out scenes during the event (costumes, makeup, and accessories are provided by Asheville Parks and Recreation).
