Princess Anne’s ‘healthy’ diet includes unusual breakfast full of antioxidants

Princess Anne “exemplifies good health”, according to a registered dietician. The royal has a balanced diet, which could be the secret to her slim figure and active lifestyle. Interestingly, Anne enjoys an unusual breakfast, which could also contribute to her good health.

Princess Anne would prefer to start the day with a bowl of fruit, including bananas.

There’s nothing unusual about that – lots of people like to eat fruit for breakfast, but Anne likes her bananas a little differently than the average person.

The royal likes to eat very ripe bananas, according to former chef Darren McGrady.

“Princess Anne has almost always preferred bananas that are almost black – overripe – because they are easier to digest,” Darren previously told TODAY.

Although a surprising choice, overripe bananas are healthy.

When a banana begins to stale, all the starch and chlorophyll in the fruit break down into sugar.

This means that the antioxidant levels in the banana have increased.

“A fully brown banana is an antioxidant powerhouse,” according to research published in an article on Spoon University.


But bananas aren’t the only fruit Anne enjoys.

According to her daughter, Zara Tindall, Anne always carries a kiwi in her bag so she can eat it when her energy levels are low.

Speaking of her mother, Zara said, “She always has a kiwi.”

This was published in the best-selling royal biography Queen Of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, written by Robert Hardman and published in March earlier this year.

It’s no surprise that Anne is snacking on fruit as the 71-year-old follows a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Charlotte Norton, Medical Director of The Slimming Clinic, previously told “Having Princess Anne be an example of good health shows that she should lead an active and healthy life.

“While the usual weight loss rules would have applied, such as burning more calories than she ate, eating lean meat, cutting back on sugary foods with little or no nutritional value, and avoiding diets. fashion, there are additional things that I think Princess Anne would have done.”

Charlotte went on to say that Anne’s “busy lifestyle” and her love of “the occasional horseback riding” would also contribute to her slim figure.

She also likes to walk, which has many health benefits.
