A PASSIONATE entrepreneur has opened her new health food store despite the massive impact of Covid on her business.
Business owner Teresa Kristara opened her new health food store, Whole Health Foods, in Maldon on Friday February 4.
Teresa has already had success with the Crystal Shack she opened in the Edward’s Walk shopping arcade in 2020, despite the first lockdown coming into effect just weeks after opening.
The Covid pandemic has had a massive impact on her business but thanks to her loyal customers she has weathered the uncertain times and now employs a number of part-time staff in the shop.

It was thanks to this success and her lifelong ambition to run an independent health food store that, when space adjacent to her existing store became available, Teresa “jumped at the chance”.
Teresa said: “It has always been my ambition to open an independent health food store offering nutritional and holistic advice – a subject I am passionate about and have been practicing for over 25 years.”

Whole Health Foods, at 4 Edwards Walk Arcade in Maldon High Street, opened its doors to customers on Friday after a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the town’s Mayor and Mayoress David and Sharon Ogg and Councilor Michael Pearlman.
Teresa added: “Finally unveiling the store was a very special feeling.
“The support we’ve had has been amazing so far.
“We also offer freshly made juices, smoothies and nutritional snacks in the shop.”
