New Japan & Stardom give the historic crossover a simple name

New Japan has taken many steps towards incorporating female wrestling into their product via a collaboration with sister promotion Stardom (both owned by Bushiroad). Before we knew the women would start wrestling on US NJPW shows, or learn of the IWGP women’s title, they were announcing a joint event for November.

When the two companies broke the news to us, we had no idea what it would be called. We got this information today (July 30), and you’ll never guess what this historic crossover will be called…

NJPW, STARDOM Set for Historic X-Over 11/20
New Japan and STARDOM cross paths in November

On November 20, a new chapter will be written in the history of NJPW and STARDOM, as Tokyo’s brand new Ariake Arena will host the first-ever crossover event between the two companies. With mixed matches, championships and more, the elite of men’s and women’s wrestling will come together in Ariake, and the title of the event reflects exactly that.

On November 20, it will be a historic X(Cross)-Over!

NJPW and STARDOM fan club members will have early access to ticket sales on August 18, with a general sale on September 23. Premium tickets will also be available along the first three rows with unique special bonuses to be announced at a later date.

Stay tuned for how to watch this monumental event live and on demand!
