Bracelet Seller’s Son Stuns Judges In DID L’il Masters 5

Jharsuguda: Boy Odia from Jharsuguda left famous choreographer Remo D’Souza, actress Sonali Bendre and TV actress Mouni Roy mesmerized with his scintillating performance on the popular reality TV show, DID L’il Masters Season 5.

The son of a bracelet seller, 11-year-old Roshan Kumar Sahu has brought laurels to Odisha with his talent and dance moves. The little kid left the judges in awe of her performance and made it to the next round of the dance reality show.

The judges had nothing but praise for the little kid as he rocked hip-hop to a remix of Sanjay Dutt’s “Aaila Re Ladki Mast Mast” featuring Jung. But what caught everyone’s attention was the story of her mother Sharda Devi.

The judges were moved to learn that Roshan’s mother sold bracelets, traveling from village to village, trying to make her son’s dream come true, despite a troubled life.

A victim of domestic violence, Roshan’s other person left her in-laws’ house after being a victim of domestic violence. Now, to earn a living and support the dreams of her three children, she sells bracelets door-to-door.

However, her fate did not prevent her children’s dreams. She does everything so that her children benefit from all the facilities that a normal child should have.

Sharing her predicament with the judges, Sharda said, “My husband used to torture me physically and mentally for small issues. He frequently beat me while drunk. One day he tried to set me on fire after pouring kerosene on me. After that, I ran away from home with my children. Now I stay with my parents.

While Sharda sells bracelets door-to-door, her eldest son works as a day laborer.

“Many people in our locality told me to give proper training to Roshan as he dances very well. But I cannot afford it,” she added.

Touched by Sharda’s fight for her children, Remo said, “You reminded me of my mother. She used to support me like that when I had nothing. Every time a child like you performs in front of me, I see my reflection in him.

Assuring his support, Remo said, “I take responsibility for Roshan’s dance training from today as long as he wants to continue it. Roshan! from now on, you are mine.

On a happy note, all three judges pressed the “YES” button for Roshan to select him for the next round.
